PARENT-to-PARENT: FAMILY TRAINING on AD/HD BEGINNING
on APRIL 13, 2010

A Multi-Session Interactive and Educational Program for Parents of Children and Adolescents with AD/HD

Have you been searching for a reliable source of information about AD/HD and how to manage the issues related to the disorder? The ability of parents to help their children navigate the hardships associated with AD/HD is STRONGLY linked to the parents' understanding of AD/HD.

Parent-to-Parent: Family Training on AD/HD allows family members to become experts in the management of their child's AD/HD.

This unique Program consists of seven 2-hour educational and interactive sessions that will cover the following topics:
   1. Overview of AD/HD
   2. Assessment to Multimodal Treatment
   3. Developing Parenting Strategies and Positive Behavior Interventions 
   4. Strengthening Family Relationships
   5. Educational Rights for Your Child with AD/HD
   6. Bridging the Gap Between Home and School
   7. Resiliency, Teen Challenges and Future Success

This comprehensive program is limited to 15 families on a first-come / first-serve basis and includes a Parent-to-Parent workbook for you to keep!!!!

Cost: $100.00 per CHADD member family (2 people included in cost) or $145.00 non-members, (includes $45.00 yearly CHADD memerbship)

Location: East Meadow Jewish Center, 1400 Prospect Avenue in East Meadow

Dates: Tuesdays evenings - April 13, 20, 27, May 4, 11, 18 and 25.
